REUNION 1

11th September 2008

Robbie Dempsey writes

" I thought you might like a couple of photos taken only yesterday (11-Sept-08) of a Pelicans' impromptu mini-reunion.

Here we have John Hennebry from Melbourne on holiday with his mum staying near Kinsale, Co. Cork. Fr. Paul Glover had flown over from Liverpool to catch up on old times and Robbie Dempsey drove down from Co. Wicklow to say hello.

We had all been at St. Columba's and The Priory, Paul and Robbie at Blacklion.

With all best wishes,
Robbie. "

Robbie Dempsey writes

" Here are two more pictures—one from me and one from Pat Gritton—taken in the Dining Hall at Trinity College, Dublin, on 24th September. "

" Pat Gritton, who lives in Truro, Cornwall, was on a trip to the ancestral home
in Leitrim last week. He met up for lunch with John Hennebry and myself . "

" See the above photo: I told them it was lunch with King Billy,
but in fact, it is the portrait of Frederick, Prince of Wales
who was father of George III (a.k.a. Nigel Hawthorne)
—which he might have become had he not been killed with a
cricket ball. Fred was Chancellor of TCD from 1728-1751. "

REUNION 3
12th August 2008

Pat Menzies writes (October 2008) :
"Here is a photo of the group in Templeogue from 12th. 15th. August. two or three joined us after the original year of 1953. The WF's inDublin gave us a great reception( Fr. Ian Buckmaster was the superior). The reunion was a great success and brought some together after a separation of 50 years. The time was spent getting to know each other again and a coach trip to some historic sites around Dublin.

You will see Fr. Frank Nolan at the back of the group. Robert Clyde and Jessie on the right side. "
