Guests, staff and students, after the opening of Blacklion (September 1st 1955)

Fr Superior — Jack Murphy — (mid-photo) is standing next to the Prime Minister, Jack Costello (who is wearing a grey suit).
T
he lady just above the Prime Minister is probably the late Annie Greene* who was a secretary at the College.
Dr Nessan McCann (Belcoo GP) is there and along side him on his right  is his late wife Gloria McCann.
Bro Paddy WF
is just beside the middle window/ door. The late Caith Fenelon is near the front of photo along with late Fr Mattew Dolan  then PP at Killinagh.

Fr Dick Cantwell WF (glasses) is on the extreme left and behind him, by the window, is Gerry Wynne's father.

*Patricia Hawkins de Medina writes (June 2007) :
"The lady just above (behind) the Prime Minister is my mother (not Annie Greene).?
In the doorway is my father, by the side of the man in glasses."

(
Dr William Hawkins, who was Medical Officer at Blacklion for the whole duration).
Olivia O'Dolan from Belcoo has identified most of the above.
If you can spot some other faces, please email me with their names.

The Priory, 1973 : " Forlorn, but not forgotten".
It's a classic - someone paved over the quad and added a flat-topped extension.
It goes so well with the Victorian brickwork, don't you think? A special offer from Everest, followed by a visit from
the boys with the black stuff?
