Michael writes (November 2011) : "I have been meaning to get these to you for ages. What strikes me immediately about some of these — especially the photo which I think was taken at Oak Lodge with the unknown WF — is how young we all were. Children, really.

When you look at the three dining room photos at Danby Hall you can imagine the noise and can understand why Tom Stoker WF often had us eating in silence.

Also, the Scroope Family who own Danby Hall were really tempting fate leaving all those expensive paintings on the wall."
