Robin writes (August 2009) :

"  I joined the WFs in 1966 at the age of 18 and was sent to the new Ratho, set up for
one year so that I could get a Latin qualification . . . still required even after Vatican 2!!
I then went on to Blacklion where I did one and a half more years and was in the
same year as  Robbie Dempsey, Pat McHale, Maurice Billingsley et al.
Donald (McLeod) was a year ahead of me with the Gormleys (Owen and Brendan), Pat McDermott and others.

Fr Tom Conway was the first head of the house at Ratho
to be followed by Frank Ball who is in the photograph. "
