same clothes as in the photograph as the one at Derry's historical wells. . . .
Yes, the background looks like the Giant's causway at Co Antrim. "

Maurice Bilingsley writes (March 2009) :
" Brendan's last picture is taken at Gap - compare my 'view from driveway' in the 2004 portfolio,
where the same block of flats can be seen - sloping roof to cope with the snow,
of course. Looks like Spring. There were a few fruit trees thereabouts, one with small hard pears
when Harry and I called by. Another was an almond tree, and Abdul (I think) one of
the Lebanese guys, scampered up it to pick them green; quite tasty with plenty of salt,
on the same principle as our pickled walnuts, I guess."

Brendan is front, centre, holding the flowers; the others are unknown to me. "
