St Columba's, after the fire( 2nd November 1963)

Brother Owen and two Irish boys (L-R) : Andrew O’Connell from Cork and Sean McAnallen from Dungannon, Co Tyrone —identified by Michael Gallagher (4/11/06) who writes : "I still vividly remember the whole episode and how the Irish Students felt hard done by because the Scottish and English lads were allowed home. After all, the lads in my year were only children of 11 years of age who were just starting to get over the initial homesickness phase and were then confronted with a traumatic experience like the Fire. Anyway, everyone tried to be good to us and the Irish students helped the Fathers and Brothers as best we could during the transition from St Columba's to Danby Hall. "
