Arthur McGuigan sent us the following photos from his days at St Columba's :

This is Arthur, on the bridge over the Tweed, some time during 1957-59.

Arthur writes, August 2005 :
"It was a Frank O'Brien in Australia that told me about this website.
It has great memories for me, as I can see a lot of my old classmates
classmates etc. at the college.  I was at St Columba's from 1957 to
1959, along with my best friend Peter McKenzie. We went to St Paul's
school in Shettleston in Glasgow and went on to the college.

I recognise others on the site, of course : Tommy Russell, Sean McGovern,
John Boyle, Dermot Clancey, George Dunnion, Pat Maguire, and a lot of others.

Looks like a very windy day at St Columba's, 1957-59.

Fromt the left : Arthur's brother and his mother.

"This one was taken at the front door of St Columba's
with Peter McKenzie and some of the boys. "

Front : Peter, Arthur and John Boyle.

Arthur also
recognises George Dunnion, JJ Deeney
— and Pat Maguire, peeking out from behind JJ.

August 2005 :
" Over the weekend I went to Bohernabreena Cemetery, where my
son's grave is situated, along with those of the White Fathers'. "

You may remember John from his time at Blacklion and Broome Hall in the mid-sixties. He has dug out his large collection of photos and other memorabilia from that period—and these will soon be appearing in the pages that follow.
