This what National Health glasses really looked like
— a real fashion statement, made by an 11 year old
Bernard Melling in his first year at St Columba's.
The photo was taken by Fr Pierre Aucoin, a French Canadian
who was apparently a superb teacher of Gregorian chant.

Scottish Country Dancing at The Priory - one of the Open Days
for the locals, no doubt attended by Major Burdett-Clark,
his wife Verna and three daughters Lynette, Paula (now Yeomans) and Susan.
