"I
think my father must be buried in St Mary's Catholic Cemetery even
though two cemetery officials have been unable to find any record of
him. Fr Gerard Rathe told my cousin he was buried in the White
Fathers' domestic and lay persons' plot.
The cemetery map shows 2
White Fathers' plots marked WF and WFP. The key shows WF as White
Fathers (mostly clergy) and WFP as White Fathers (non-clergy). The
photograph of the memorial looks like "mostly clergy" so in theory
my father would be buried in the WFP plot.
If any of you plan to visit the White Fathers' plot in St Mary's
Catholic Cemetery at any time in the future, could I ask you to
look at the plot marked WFP on the
cemetery plan to see whether there are any memorials there
and if so whether John Anthony Andrew Connolly is on one of
them. He died on 18 December 1993 aged 83 and I'm told he was
buried in February 1994. Thank you. Felicity."
