AMAP Update October 2018

Mike Ellis writes: "We are in the process of gathering redundant NHS equipment which some of the local NHS hospitals were going to destroy. We so far have about thirty bedside lockers and we are shortly expecting to receive several commodes and examination couches as well as a lockable drug trolley. We will arrange for these items to be shipped out to the hospital being refurbished on Chilubi Island in the middle of a huge lake in Zambia.  I wrote about this subject earlier this year and we have located a facility which will put these items in a container and ship them to Africa. The only item AMAP will have to pay for is fuel and a payment to a driver to take them to Chilubi Island. More on this in my next memo!"
